Mumbai, Feb 12: Mumbai Police apprehended a man from the Chembur area on Tuesday after receiving a terror threat regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s aircraft.
The call, made to the police control room on February 11, warned that terrorists might attack the Prime Minister’s plane ahead of his official visit abroad. Authorities immediately alerted security agencies and launched an investigation. Police said that the caller, now in custody, is mentally ill.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Modi co-chaired the AI Action Summit in Paris alongside French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday. The summit, attended by global leaders, policymakers, and industry experts, concluded with a High-Level Segment.

Upon his arrival in Marseille on Tuesday, PM Modi received a warm welcome from the Indian diaspora at a local hotel. He is also set to visit the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) project with President Macron, underscoring global collaboration in nuclear fusion research. Additionally, he will pay tribute to Indian soldiers who fought in the World Wars by visiting the Mazargues War Cemetery.
Following his engagements in France, Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to travel to the United States at the invitation of President Donald Trump. This will be their first meeting since Trump began his second term in office.
