Man sets himself ablaze near Parliament

New Delhi, Dec 25: A man set himself ablaze near Parliament on Wednesday, sustaining severe burns.

The local and railway police, along with some civilians, quickly put out the fire, and the individual was promptly taken to the hospital.

Police reported that the man ignited himself in a park near Rail Bhavan, the Indian Railways headquarters, before running toward Parliament House.

Officials stated that Delhi Police and a forensic team have reached the scene, and an investigation is underway.

A partially burnt two-page note and a container of petrol were discovered at the scene. While the content of the note remains unclear, officials have initiated further investigations.

The man’s identity and the motive for his actions remain unknown at this time.
