Imphal, September 16: The Manipur government reinstated internet and mobile data services on Monday following a review of the state’s current law and order situation.
The suspension, which was earlier extended until September 20, has now been lifted.
The State’s Home Department released an order revoking the suspension of internet and mobile data services, including VSAT and VPN, in the districts of Imphal West, Imphal East, Thoubal, Bishnupur, and Kakching.
The state government initially enforced an internet ban on September 10 for a five-day period. While the ban was supposed to end on Sunday, it was extended due to ongoing concerns about the law and order situation.
