PINAKI MAJUMDAR

Jamshedpur, Dec 26: The minimum temperature witnessed a rise across Jharkhand.

Weatherman said the night readings would hover between 11 and 13 degrees Celsius in most places during the next two to three days.

According to Met department officials, days would be brighter while fog and mist would prevail in the morning and evening.

The north-westerly currents have become weak and this has resulted in a slight rise in minimum readings, said a duty officer at IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre.

The duty officer went on to say that it is a temporary phase and that the minimum temperature would again witness a drop after the free flow of north-westerly wind gets restored.

Ranchi today recorded a minimum temperature of 11.4 degrees Celsius while Jamshedpur recorded 13.8 degrees.

Daltonganj, the Palamu headquarters today recorded a minimum temperature of 11.3 degrees Celsius while Bokaro recorded 12.1 degrees.

The minimum reading hovered around 10 degrees Celsius in Gumla and Hazaribagh.
