Synoptic Conditions Explained

Meteorologists said a Western Disturbance is currently seen as a cyclonic circulation over north Synoptic Pakistan and adjoining Punjab, extending between 3.1 km and 4.5 km above mean sea level. The associated trough in the middle and upper tropospheric westerlies lies around 5.8 km above mean sea level, roughly along longitude 70°E and north of latitude 25°N.

Additionally, an induced cyclonic circulation over northeast Punjab and adjoining areas, extending up to 1.5 km above mean sea level, continues to persist.

No Rain or Severe Weather Expected

“Dry weather has prevailed across the state, with light fog or mist reported at isolated places during the morning hours,” an official at the Meteorological Centre said, adding that there is no immediate indication of rainfall or severe weather in the coming days.

Travel Advisory

Stable weather conditions are expected to keep daytime temperatures comfortable. However, early mornings may remain slightly hazy due to fog, particularly in low-lying and rural areas.
Residents have been advised to exercise caution during early morning travel until visibility improves.
