National seminar on “Viksit Bharat @ 2047” begins at Sona Devi University

Jamshedpur, Sept 19: A two-day national seminar on “Viksit Bharat @ 2047” commenced today at Vivekananda Auditorium of Sona Devi University, Ghatsila.

The multidisciplinary seminar was inaugurated in the presence of eminent academicians, researchers, and public representatives.

Former MLA Kunal Sarangi, graced the occasion as the chief guest, while Prof.  Amar Singh, Principal of Cooperative College, Jamshedpur, delivered the keynote address.

Prof. Chandrachud Singh from the Department of Political Science, Hindu College, Delhi University, joined virtually and shared his insights.

Welcoming the gathering, Vice-Chancellor J.P. Mishra recalled the contributions of Dishom Guru Shibu Soren and Late Ramdas Soren in steering development through cooperation.

He emphasized the importance of research, remarking, “The more we explore, the further we progress.”

In his keynote address, Prof. Amar Singh reflected on India’s political and historical circumstances during the transfer of power in 1947.

He stressed that to achieve the vision of a developed India by 2047, progress must be ensured in economic, social, and healthcare sectors. He also highlighted the role of artificial intelligence in medical services and called for focused action in population control, digital infrastructure, and global competitiveness.

Chief guest Kunal Sarangi underlined the significance of collective responsibility in realizing the goals of Viksit Bharat 2047.

Stressing the value of time management and individual accountability, he said, “We cannot build a developed India if we do not take pride in our national language. Along with infrastructure, we must also focus on quality education, gender equality, and digital growth.”

Chancellor Prabhakar Singh, in his address, asserted that development must be inclusive. He said India is moving swiftly toward becoming the third-largest economy and urged promotion of “Made in India” and “Startup India” initiatives.

“To build a developed India, we must first strengthen our families and communities, which in turn will strengthen the nation,” he added.

On this occasion, over 25 research papers were presented by scholars on diverse themes related to development and nation-building.
