NEET-PG 2026 in Ranchi: Restrictions imposed within 200 metres of 4 exam centres

Ranchi, August 25: The Ranchi district administration has imposed restrictive orders within a 200-metre radius of four examination centres for the NEET-PG 2026 examination scheduled for August 30.

The restrictions will remain in force from 6 am to 3:30 pm on August 30 to ensure the smooth and peaceful conduct of the examination and prevent any attempt at malpractice or disruption of law and order.

The examination is being conducted at four centres in Ranchi district. Magistrates have been deputed along with police personnel and officers to ensure security and maintain law and order at the examination centres.

The Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Sadar), Ranchi, exercising powers under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), issued the restrictive orders following apprehensions that anti-social elements could gather near the examination centres and create disturbances.

What Is Restricted Near NEET-PG Centres?

Within a 200-metre radius of the examination centres, the following activities have been prohibited:

  • Assembly of five or more persons at one place, except officials and employees engaged in official duties, government programmes and funeral processions.
  • Use of sound amplification devices, including loudspeakers.
  • Carrying firearms or explosives, including guns, rifles, revolvers, bombs and gunpowder, except by officials and employees engaged in official duties.
  • Carrying weapons such as lathis, sticks, bows and arrows, garasas and spears, with exceptions for officials and employees engaged in official duties.
  • Organising any meeting or public gathering.

Four NEET-PG Examination Centres in Ranchi

The examination will be held at the following centres:

  1. Ram Tahal Choudhary Institute of Technology (RTCIT), Anandi, Ormanjhi Block Chowk, Ranchi.
  2. Arununma Technical Services Pvt. Ltd., Pragati Path, Road No. 6, Samlong, Lower Chutia, near Ganesh Nursing Home, Ranchi.
  3. ICube Digital, near Medanta Hospital, Cafeteria Building, Irba, Ranchi.
  4. Oxford Public School, Old H.B. Road, Pragati Path, Ranchi.

The district administration has directed the concerned officials and security personnel to ensure compliance with the restrictions during the examination hours.

The measures are intended to prevent unauthorised gatherings and maintain a peaceful environment around the examination centres during NEET-PG 2026.
