Dhanbad, January 1: Newly appointed Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) Sunny Raj, Town Commissioner Ashish Gangwar, and Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Lokesh Barangey on Wednesday took charge of their respective offices in Dhanbad, officials said.

DDC Focus on Welfare Schemes
After assuming charge from outgoing DDC Sadad Anwar, Sunny Raj said his priority would be the effective implementation of Central and State government welfare schemes at the grassroots level.
“I will also try my best to complete the ongoing development projects as soon as possible,” he said.

Town Commissioner Reviews Ongoing Projects
New Town Commissioner Ashish Gangwar took charge from Raviraj Sharma and discussed the progress of ongoing development works in the Municipal Corporation area.
During his tenure, outgoing Town Commissioner Raviraj Sharma had focused on sanitation drives and anti-encroachment measures across the township.
SDM Emphasises Law and Order
Newly appointed SDM Lokesh Barangey assumed charge from Rajesh Kumar. Speaking to the media, he said that maintaining peace and law and order would be his top priority.
He added that efforts would be made to dispose of official files on time and ensure that people do not face harassment while obtaining birth and death certificates.
