New Delhi, Jan 11: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) raided 32 locations in Delhi, Haryana, and Punjab on Thursday, officials stated, marking yet another significant step in dismantling the terrorist-gangster-drug smuggler nexus in the nation.
The anti-terror agency’s various teams conducted searches in close coordination with state police forces as the raids got underway early this morning.
Raids against people linked to Lawrence Bishnoi
The agency is searching a number of locations, including Jhajjar and Sonipat in Haryana. Agents investigated the premises of people connected to the terror-crime ring led by notorious mobster Lawrence Bishnoi.

The raids took place a few days after Lawrence Bishnoi’s four properties were attached by the NIA on January 6. Out of these properties, three were fixed, and one was movable.
The NIA teams in Haryana, Punjab, and Uttar Pradesh jointly seized the properties under the provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act of 1967.
The NIA has stated that it identified all these assets as ‘proceeds of terrorism,’ utilized for planning terrorist conspiracies and carrying out significant criminal activities.
