New Delhi, June 4: Latest trends in the Odisha Assembly election counting showed that the incumbent Biju Janata Dal (BJD) was observed leading on 48 seats, while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) crossed the halfway point in Odisha with a lead on 80 seats, according to the data posted on the website of Election Commission of India.

Odisha has 147 Assembly constituencies.

The Indian National Congress (INC) was leading in 15 seats, according to figures provided by the election authority, and the Communist Party of India (Marxist) – CPI(M) was leading in one seat in Odisha.

As for the Lok Sabha elections, the data on EC website showed that the BJP is leading in 19 of the 21 seats, while the BJD and Congress are leading in one seat apiece.

June 1 marked the end of voting in Odisha and the seventh and final round of the Lok Sabha elections. The parliamentary elections in Odisha were held concurrently with the assembly polls.
