Jamshedpur, March 19: A contemporary Odiya book written by prominent writer Badal Bhuinya was unveiled recently at a function in Bhubaneswar.
Pradip Kumar Amat, minister of Panchayat Raj, Forest & Environment, Info & Public Relations Department, unveiled the book “Jane Prabasira Drustire Pragatira Odisha O BJD ” at the function, which other dignitaries attended.
Navin Patnaik’s dynamic leadership
Though most of the 300-plus work deals with the achievements by the Odisha chief minister Navin Patnaik’s dynamic leadership and the working style of his political party, Biju Janata Dal, Bhuiyan has tried to paint the pace of progress made during the tenure of Patnaik.

A resident of Jamshedpur, Bhuiyan penned the book from his perspective about the progress of his home state by living hundreds of miles away.
Odisha’s progress under Navin Patnaik
“Like the world today, we see the pace of progress India is making under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. People like me are similarly watching Odisha’s progress under the leadership of Navin Patnaik while staying away from the home state. In fact, anything is more distinctly from a distance only, ” Bhuinya said while commenting on the urge to write the book about the kind of leadership Navin Patnaik is giving for Odisha.
The writer observed that ever since Patnaik’s BJD came to power, Odisha started coming out of the rut and has made immense progress on all fronts, especially the industrialisation of the state, adding that a leader like Navin Patnaik is rarely found.
