Daltonganj, Dec 10: Nilamber Pitamber University (NPU) has got a new registrar and finance officer under a stop-gap arrangement after the approval from Governor-cum chancellor of the state universities C P Radhakrishnan.
A panel of three names each for the registrar and finance officer was sent to the Raj Bhavan by acting VC NPU Dr Tapan Kumar Shandilya.
The Raj Bhavan ticked off the name of Dr Mirtunjay Kumar as in-charge registrar and Dr R K Jha as in-charge finance officer.
Both of them assumed the charge on Saturday after the acting VC issued a notification to this effect.
GLA College Daltonganj
Dr Mirtunjay Kumar is an assistant professor in the Department of Psychology at GLA College Daltonganj. He is from the 2008 batch of the JPSC.
He has replaced Dr Rakesh Kumar. Kumar has a 6-month tenure or till a regular registrar is posted, whichever is earlier.
Dr RK Jha replaces Dr A K Vaid. He is an assistant professor of the 2008 batch in the Department of Physics at GLA College.
Speaking to this correspondent, the acting VC said today, “The Chancellor of the state universities has been pleased to accord approval to these two new changes in the Nilamber
Pitamber University. The NPU is obliged.”
Dr Shandilya added, “One should always look forward with a great sense of hope. We believe the two new men in now will work hard and deliver to the satisfaction of all the stakeholders.”
On the issue of the backlog to the university examinations, the acting VC said, “Necessary steps have already been initiated. We plan to ease the congestion of the examinations in the pipeline in the first few months of 2024.” End
