Daltonganj, February 2: Palamu police have busted a loot case driven by malice and hatred more than for any cash. It was to break the marriage settlement of a girl!

Recovery of nine stolen bikes

Palamu police have made a big haul of recovery of nine stolen bikes; one among the first three stolen bikes recovered was used in the crime.

Police also arrested three. They were remanded in judicial custody today, said SP Reeshma Ramesan.

The episode is two but under the same police station limits, Pandu. The first episode is on January 27.

Daylight loot

This January 27 crime was bizarre. First, it was committed with ‘Lathi Danda’, and the bike was stolen by three. It was a daylight loot.

The reason behind the loot was most grotesque. It was not for any loot of the bike.

It was to abort the marriage negotiation and settlement of a girl.

And the bike that was looted was from the groom’s side, which had the marriage negotiation.

Santosh Rajak played the villain most. He, along with Sonu Singh and one more, had looted the bike of the groom’s side only to foil the marriage negotiation.

SP Reeshma Ramesan said the police swung into action. It first nabbed Sonu Singh. Here, police recovered three stolen bikes. One of the three recovered bikes was used in the loot with ‘Lathi Danda’, said Reeshma Ramesan.

Sonu Singh and Santosh Rajak were arrested with stolen bikes. The third of them escaped with the cell phone of the groom’s side.

Treasure of stolen bikes

The recovery and arrest made police tumble upon the more considerable treasure of stolen bikes under the same police station limits Pandu.

Police captured Vikas Kumar and recovered six stolen bikes. Vikas Kumar has also been remanded in judicial custody along with Sonu Singh and Santosh Rajak.

The SP unfolded the two episodes, reminding the media that the recovery is definitely of the bikes. Still, in one episode, the motorcycle was looted to foil a marriage negotiation, while in the second episode of the recovery of 6 bikes, it was a seasoned act of loot.

The six stolen bikes recovered were from Japla, Naudeeha Bazaar and Lathiya.

The three caught and jailed, Sonu Singh, Santosh Rajak and Vikas Kumar have criminal dispositions of mind but no criminal record.
