Chateauroux, August 1: Indian shooter Swapnil Kusale earned the bronze medal in the men’s 50m rifle 3P event at the Paris Olympics on Thursday.
Kusale also made history as the first Indian shooter to win a medal in the men’s 50m rifle 3P event.
Kusale earned the bronze medal for India in the men’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions Final by placing third with a total score of 451.4.

This also marked India’s third shooting medal overall in the ongoing Paris Olympics.
Earlier on July 30, the pair of Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh had won a bronze medal for India in the 10m air pistol mixed team event.
On July 28, Manu had won bronze medal for India in the women’s 10m air pistol event and opened the country’s account at the Paris Olympics.
