New Delhi, March 8: Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a significant statement on International Women’s Day, announcing a Rs 100 reduction in the cost of LPG cylinders.
In a statement, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized that the reduction is intended to boost family well-being and promote a better environment in addition to making cooking gas more economical.
“Today, on Women’s Day, our government has decided to reduce LPG cylinder prices by Rs. 100. This will significantly ease the financial burden on millions of households across the country, especially benefiting our Nari Shakti,” PM Modi announced via social media platform X on Friday.

“By making cooking gas more affordable, we also aim to support the well-being of families and ensure a healthier environment. This is in line with our commitment to empowering women and ensuring ‘Ease of Living’ for them,” he further stated.

PM extends wishes on International Women’s Day
Prime Minister Modi also conveyed his best wishes on the eve of International Women’s Day.

According to an official statement, the central government has distributed 14.17 crore free LPG refills nationwide through the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.
