Jajpur, March 5: In Chandikhole, Odisha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundations for several development projects valued at over Rs 19,600 crore on Tuesday.
The projects span across various sectors such as Oil and Gas, Railways, Roads, Transportation, Highways, and Atomic Energy.
To enhance road infrastructure in the area, the Prime Minister inaugurated the four-lane expansion of the Singhara to Binjabahal Section of NH-49, the Binjabahal to Tileibani Section of NH-49, the Balasore-Jharpokharia Section of NH-18, and the Tangi-Bhubaneswar Section of NH-16.
In Chandikhole, he laid the foundation for the Chandikhole-Paradip Section eight laning.
Additionally, the 162 km Bansapani – Daitari – Tomka – Jakhapura Rail Line was dedicated by the Prime Minister to the country.

According to the Prime Minister’s office, one of the projects is the inauguration of the Indian Oil Corporation Limited Mono Ethylene Glycol project at the Paradip Refinery, which will contribute to lessening India’s reliance on imports.
Additionally, the foundation stones were laid for the Electric Loco Periodical Overhauling Workshop in Narla, the Wagon Periodical Overhauling Workshop in Kantabanji, and the improvement and expansion of maintenance facilities in Baghuapal.
The CONCOR Container Depot in Kalinga Nagar was also inaugurated which aims to enhance both domestic and international trade.
