Prayagraj, Feb 5: Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the Mahakumbh 2025 by taking a sacred dip at Triveni Sangam, where the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers meet in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. After this, PM Modi also offered prayers and performed Arti at Sangam.
Upon arriving in Prayagraj on Wednesday morning, Modi, dressed in a bright saffron jacket and blue trackpants, took a boat ride along the Yamuna River alongside Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath before performing the holy ritual.
Earlier, Prime Minister Modi’s aircraft landed at Bamrauli Airport, where he was welcomed by Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and both Deputy CMs. From there, he traveled by helicopter to the DPS helipad. His convoy then proceeded to the VIP Ghat in Arail, after which he reached the Sangam by boat for a holy dip in the Ganga.

The Mahakumbh, which began on Paush Purnima (January 13, 2025), is the world’s largest spiritual and cultural gathering, drawing millions of devotees from around the globe. The event will continue until Mahashivratri on February 26.
