Hazaribag, Oct 2: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today stepped up his attacks on the JMM-Congress-RJD alliance government levelling charges of corruption, aiding Bangladeshi infiltrators and patronising paper leaks.

Addressing a huge ‘Parivartan rally’ here, Modi said that the ruling alliance is the biggest hindrance in the development of Jharkhand.

JMM is not the same old JMM

Modi said this is not the same old JMM. “The Congress ecosystem has hijacked the JMM. Today JMM is haunted by the ghost of Congress-the language changed, the character changed, and now they are trying to change the soul of Jharkhand. JMM and Congress are busy conducting a marathon of scams in Jharkhand,” Modi said.

Jharkhand govt trying to derail development

The prime minister said while the central government is working day and night for the development of Jharkhand, the state government is trying to derail the development.

Giving a clarion call to oust the JMM-led government, Modi said, “I have heard that now when he is about to leave, he has increased both the speed and scale of corruption. Thousands of transfers have taken place in Jharkhand in the last two weeks. Transfer-posting industry… this is a very big industry. JMM has made crores of rupees on the pretext of this. But now this game is not going to last long… soon the government will change in Jharkhand and every penny of this loot will be accounted for,” he added.

Save ‘roti, beti and maati’ campaign

Referring to the BJP’s poll slogan of saving “roti, beti and maati,” PM Modi said the ruling alliance is trying to create a new vote bank, particularly in Santhal Pargana by reducing the tribal population. “This demographic change is dangerous and a threat to the existence of tribals,” he warned.

Modi said the Jharkhand High Court is concerned over the dwindling population of tribals but the state government is not ready to accept it for the sake of vote bank. “The JMM-Congress wants to reduce Adivasis to a minority in Jharkhand,” he asserted.

Paper leaks

The prime minister said paper leaks have happened under the patronage of the state government ruining the careers of youths in Jharkhand.

False promises

While cornering the Hemant government, he said that today the elections are near, so the JMM wants to save itself by making false promises. “New jalebis of lies are going to be served in the state. The JMM government should give old accounts before serving jalebis. It had promised to give unemployment allowance and jobs, but what did they get? On the contrary, the youth died in the name of jobs,” PM Modi pointed out.

The PM said that only BJP and NDA government can develop Jharkhand. He said that only BJP has done the work of connecting Jharkhand to the mainstream. “Congress has deprived the tribal youth of education and employment,” he alleged.

PM inaugurates, lays foundation of projects over Rs 80,000 crore

Earlier, PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for various projects worth over Rs 80,000 crore in Hazaribag.

Modi launched Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, inaugurated 40 Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) and laid the foundation stone for 25 EMRS, and inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for multiple projects under Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN).
