Ranchi, Dec. 16: The state-level workshop of the Modi government’s ambitious scheme, PM Vishwakarma Yojana, concluded today in the BJP state office.
Addressing the workshop, BJP State President and former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi said that building a self-reliant India is necessary for a strong India.
Leadership of PM Modi
He said that under the leadership of India’s successful Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country has taken steps towards self-reliance.
He said that PM Vishwakarma Yojana will become the key to self-reliant India.
He said there has been no shortage of skills in the country since ancient times. “However, after independence, no initiative was taken to advance the country’s ancient skilled artisans and connect them with modern technology,” he added.
Leader of Opposition
Leader of Opposition Amar Kumar Bauri said that people from backwards, Dalit and tribal communities are most included in the PM Vishwakarma scheme.
He said that through this scheme the village poor and skilled traditional artisans will move forward. “This scheme has brought a golden opportunity for progress for them,” Bauri added.
He said that this scheme will not only develop and strengthen artisans but will strengthen the economy of the entire village.
India’s skilled artisans
Regional Organization General Secretary Nagendra Tripathi said that India’s ancient arts and skilled artisans were the strong pillars of the economy here. “Their arts were respected in every village. The materials they made were promoted in social customs,” he added.
Traditional artisans
State Organization General Secretary Karmveer Singh said that India has been identified with its skilled traditional artisans. “These traditional artisans continued to play a significant role in providing employment in the country. Today the increasing unemployment in the country has increased due to not encouraging traditional employment,” he added.
