Bulandshahr, August 21: Following a CBI raid in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr Main Post Office related to a corruption probe, Post Office Superintendent T.P. Singh allegedly committed suicide on Wednesday.
The Superintendent, who allegedly died by suicide in his home district of Aligarh, had been questioned for hours by the CBI. After returning to Aligarh, he reportedly took this drastic step and shared a suicide note in the WhatsApp groups he was a member of.
T.P. Singh shared suicide letter on WhatsApp explaining reasons
T.P. Singh, the Superintendent of Post Offices for the Bulandshahr division in Uttar Pradesh, died by suicide and left a note explaining his reasons for the drastic action. Singh had been serving in this role since 2021.

In a letter dated August 21, 2024, addressed to the Senior Superintendent of Aligarh Police, Singh named several office colleagues, accusing them of harassment and applying excessive pressure on him. “There has been constant pressure to get work done and there have been several complaints”, Singh wrote in the letter.
The letter from Singh also attributed direct responsibility for his death to specific individuals. “I am fed up with the above-mentioned people after being constantly pressured by them”, he said in the letter.
Singh’s letter, which he reportedly shared himself on WhatsApp, has since gone viral after being distributed across multiple groups on the platform.
CBI interrogated T.P. Singh till 4am
The CBI conducted a raid at the main post office late in the evening, with the investigation extending over several hours as agency officers interrogated numerous individuals.
During the raid, the CBI seized several documents considered crucial to the investigation. Additionally, the agency questioned Post Office Superintendent T.P. Singh until 4 a.m.
