President, PM, Kharge pay tribute to Dr. Rajendra Prasad on his birth anniversary

New Delhi, Dec 3: Today marks the 140th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna and India’s first President, Dr. Rajendra Prasad. On this occasion, several prominent leaders, including President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, paid their tributes.

President Droupadi Murmu offered floral tributes to Dr. Rajendra Prasad at Rashtrapati Bhavan on his birth anniversary.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also paid tribute to Dr Rajendra Prasad.

In a post on X, PM Modi wrote, “Respectful tributes to the country’s first President, Bharat Ratna Dr. Rajendra Prasad Ji on his birth anniversary. As the Chairman of the Constituent Assembly, he made an invaluable contribution in laying a strong foundation of Indian democracy. Today, when all of us countrymen are celebrating 75 years of the Constitution, his life and ideals become even more inspiring.”

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge also paid tribute to Dr. Rajendra Prasad by sharing a post on X.

“Tribute to Dr. Rajendra Prasad ji, the first President of India, great freedom fighter and former Congress President, who played an important role in drafting the Constitution of India, on his birth anniversary,” Kharge posted on X.

“His incredible contribution from drafting the Constitution of the country to making India a strong and advanced nation will always be remembered. His high thoughts and ideal values ​​are a source of inspiration for all of us,” Kharge added.

Other leaders such as Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma and others also remembered Dr Rajendra Prasad on his birth anniversary and paid tributes.
