Daltonganj, Dec. 10: A python snake was rescued in the Bareysanr range of the tiger reserve Palamu. It was later released into the nearest forest.

Sources said that had a team of forest guards led by Arun Kr Singh not acted swiftly the curious crowd could have harmed the snake. Singh told this correspondent that the python was saved from the crowd. It was 7 feet long and weighed 10 to 12 kg.
