Bengaluru, June 7: In relation to the defamation case brought by the Karnataka BJP unit, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was granted bail by a special court in Bengaluru on Friday.

On the surety of Congress leader DK Suresh, the bail has been granted.

The court has scheduled the next hearing for July 30.

In their complaint, the BJP alleged that advertisements in local newspapers and ‘false campaigning’ by Congress before the 2023 state assembly elections tarnished the BJP’s reputation.
