Raebareli, Sept 10: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi arrived in Raebareli today on a two-day visit, where he faced protests from BJP workers. Uttar Pradesh Minister Dinesh Pratap Singh, along with his supporters, staged a sit-in on Rahul’s convoy route, raising slogans of “Rahul Gandhi go back.”
The BJP minister and party workers were protesting against the alleged abusive remarks made towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi from a Congress stage during the Voter Adhikar Yatra in Bihar.
Due to the protest on the route, Rahul Gandhi’s convoy was stopped by police nearly a kilometer before the planned point.

When the police attempted to remove Minister Dinesh Singh from the spot, scuffles broke out with BJP workers. Notably, Minister Dinesh Pratap Singh had contested against Rahul Gandhi from this seat in the Lok Sabha elections.
Earlier on Wednesday morning, around 8:30 am, Rahul Gandhi reached Lucknow by flight from Delhi Airport, where he was welcomed before heading to Raebareli by road. On the way, he met Samajwadi Party leaders in Harchandpur.
Upon reaching Raebareli, Rahul Gandhi said that the slogan “Vote chor, gaddi chor” (Vote thief, leave the chair) is proving to be true across the country. He added, “We will continue to prove this time and again in even more dramatic ways.”

According to reports, Rahul Gandhi will stay in Raebareli today and tomorrow. He will interact with booth-level workers, attend a review meeting with the administration, and participate in various other programs. This marks his sixth visit to Raebareli since becoming its MP.
