Jaipur, Dec 25: Bhajan Lal Sharma, the chief minister of Rajasthan, on Monday, paid a surprise visit to Sawai Man Singh Hospital (SMS) in Jaipur to assess the quality of the medical care provided there.

Making an unexpected visit, he checked on the health of patients and evaluated the cleanliness and medical facilities in different wards.

Although the Chief Minister discovered satisfactory medical facilities, there were reports of the Superintendent of SMS being absent.

The Deputy Superintendent was found only after the Chief Minister arrived at the ward.

Paid tributes to AB Vajpayee earlier

Earlier in the day, CM Bhajan Lal Sharma honoured the 99th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee by paying tributes.

“Azar…Amar…Atal! On the birth anniversary of revered Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the former and unprecedented Prime Minister of the country who proudly raised the head of Mother India on the global stage while being at the pinnacle of ideals, policies and behaviour and a guide for all of us, we pay our tribute to him,” Bhajan Lal Sharma conveyed this message on X.

आदर्श,नीति और व्यवहार के शिखर पर रहते हुए वैश्विक पटल पर माँ भारती का मस्तक गर्व से ऊंचा करने वाले देश के पूर्व व अभूतपूर्व प्रधानमंत्री हम सब के पथ प्रदर्शक श्रद्धेय अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी जी की जयंती पर उन्हें कोटिशः नमन।
