Jaipur, Nov 21: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot unveiled the Congress manifesto on Tuesday for the upcoming assembly polls, pledging a caste survey, interest-free loans of up to Rs 2 lakh for farmers, and the creation of 10 lakh job opportunities.
The party also committed to hiring at the panchayat level and introducing a special law to enforce Minimum Support Price (MSP) based on the Swaminathan Commission’s recommendations.
The Congress has pledged to provide interest-free loans of up to Rs 5 lakh to small traders, shopkeepers, and young entrepreneurs, as well as doubling the amount provided to beneficiaries under the Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme from Rs 25 lakh to Rs 50 lakh yearly.

At the PCC (Pradesh Congress Committee) office here, party president Mallikarjun Kharge, CM Gehlot, PCC chief Govind Singh Dotasra, chairman of the manifesto committee CP Joshi, former deputy chief minister Sachin Pilot, and other officials released the manifesto.
“We got suggestions from people on the basis of which manifesto has been formed. We fulfilled 96% of our promises (made in 2018), Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot said.
“In North India, Rajasthan is number one in the rate of economic development. The economy in Rajasthan will be Rs 15 lakh by the year-end, with a target to hit Rs 30 lakh crore by 2030,” he added.
Joshi emphasized the key aspects of the manifesto and stated that MSP would be given in accordance with the suggestions made by the Swaminathan Commission.
If the Congress gets re-elected, Gehlot has already promised the people of Rajasthan seven “guarantees,” or promises.
The seven “guarantees” are-
1. An annual stipend of ₹10,000 for the female head of the household is assured under the Griha Lakshmi Yojana.
2. LPG cylinders will be provided to 1.05 crore families at a cost of ₹500 each.
3. Cattle rearers will be able to sell dung at ₹2 per kg under the Gowdhan guarantee.
4. Law for the old pension scheme for government employees.
5. Students enrolling in government colleges will receive a laptop or tablet.
6. An insurance cover of up to ₹15 lakh per family will be implemented to offset losses caused by natural disasters, along with English medium education.
7. The Chiranjeevi health insurance scheme will be enhanced from ₹25 lakh to ₹50 lakh.
