Ranchi, June 3: The Ranchi District Badminton Association (RDBA) is set to organize a workshop for technical officials on June 8 at the Thakur Vishwanath Sahadeo Indoor Stadium, Mega Sports Complex, Hotwar.

RDBA Secretary N.K. Dey shared that the workshop is primarily aimed at technical officials from Ranchi district. However, all officials have been encouraged to attend in order to update their knowledge and discuss various important issues related to the game.

The workshop will be conducted by Ranchi’s National Panel Referee Wasim Akram, along with Secretary N.K. Dey and other expert technical panel members, who will brief the participants on the latest rules and regulations of badminton.
“RDBA regularly organizes such workshops for technical officials and interested individuals to help them stay updated with the evolving rules and regulations of the sport,” said N.K. Dey.
Jharkhand Emerges as a Force in Badminton Officiating
Over the past 25 years, technical officials from Jharkhand have established themselves as a strong presence in the national badminton referee panel. Currently, the state boasts six national and international referees who have earned recognition for their exceptional officiating in top-ranked national tournaments.

Ranchi’s Wasim Akram, Avinash Tiwari, Madhurendra Kumar, Abhishek Kumar Singh (Dhanbad), Alok Kumar, and Anurag Kumar are the national panel referees who have helped solidify Jharkhand’s reputation on the national badminton stage.
