Dhanbad, July 28: Ranchi and Bhagalpur teams have entered the final of the Jharkhand-Bihar CISCE Regional Boys Volleyball Championship, being held at De Nobili School, Koradih.
In the first semifinal, Ranchi defeated arch-rival Jamshedpur in a closely fought match, winning 28-21. Bhagalpur, on the other hand, secured an easy victory over Deoghar with a score of 25-19.

The championship features six teams—Ranchi, Bhagalpur, Jamshedpur, Deoghar, Dhanbad, and Patna—which qualified from CISCE schools in the region. The tournament is being conducted under the supervision of national volleyball coach Suraj Prakash Lal.

The tournament was inaugurated by Fr. Chandrashekhar Francis, Principal of De Nobili School, Koradih, who encouraged participants to play with true sportsmanship. The event also featured a cultural program presented by the school’s girl students.
