Ranchi-Kamakhya festival special train announced to clear festive rush

Jamshedpur, Sept 16: To provide relief to passengers and manage the heavy festive season rush, South Eastern Railway has announced the running of Ranchi–Kamakhya–Ranchi festival special train.

The trains will operate as per the schedule detailed below:

Train No. 08621 Ranchi–Kamakhya Special:

This train will depart from Ranchi every Saturday between September 27 and November 1 at 08:10 pm. It will reach Kamakhya at 11pm the following day.

Train No. 08622 Kamakhya–Ranchi Special:

In the return direction, the train will leave Kamakhya every Monday from September 29 to November 3 at 2 am and arrive at Ranchi the next day at 4:40 am.

The special train will halt at Muri, Kotshila, and Bokaro Steel City under the jurisdiction of South Eastern Railway.

The move comes as part of Indian Railways’ initiative to manage the increased demand for travel during the festive season, ensuring smoother journeys for passengers traveling to and from Jharkhand and the North East.
