Ranchi, Aug 4: The Ranchi police today arrested one Roshan Munda, one of the main accused in the advocate Gopal Krishna murder case.
Roshan Munda was arrested from Angada. However, his associate Sandeep Kalindi managed to escape while firing.
Encounter between police and criminals
According to the information, when the police team led by Kotwali DSP Prakash Soy reached Angada to catch the criminals, the criminals started firing at the police. After this, the police took action and opened fire.
It is being told that Roshan Munda has been shot in the leg. He has been admitted to RIMS for treatment. It is not clear yet whether Roshan Munda was shot in the firing by his partner or in retaliation by the police.
Roshan confesses to the crime
According to sources, Roshan has told the police that the advocate had beaten him up on the day of the incident. He said that the advocate was going to the temple to worship, during this time he collided with the advocate and his worship material fell. After this, the advocate beat him brutally. In this anger, after some time, he stabbed the advocate to death in front of his house. However, the police are continuously interrogating him. Some more facts may come to light in this case. At the same time, the police are continuously raiding possible hideouts in search of other criminals.
DGP Anurag Gupta meets lawyer’s family
Notably, Civil Court lawyer Gopal Krishna was murdered on Friday in Mahua Toli located in Madhukam, Sukhdev Nagar police station area.
On the second day of this incident, on Saturday, DGP Anurag Gupta reached the advocate’s house to meet his family. The DGP talked to the mother and wife of the deceased for a long time. He assured them of the early arrest of the criminals. During this time, the DGP also tried to know the reason from the family members, but the family members could not tell anything as they did not have any information related to this.
