Ranchi schools to remain closed on June 27 due to Muharram processions

Ranchi, June 26: The Ranchi district administration has declared a holiday for all government and private schools across the district on Saturday, June 27, in view of the Muharram processions.

The decision was taken considering the anticipated traffic disruptions and inconvenience likely to be caused to schoolchildren due to Tazia and Akhada processions across most parts of the district.

Holiday for All Schools

According to an order issued on the directions of District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri, all government, government-aided, non-government and private schools in Ranchi district will remain closed on June 27.

However, schools that have pre-scheduled examinations may conduct them only if necessary after informing the District Education Officer (DEO), Ranchi, in advance.
