New Delhi, Oct 26: Former MP Ravindra Kumar Rai has been appointed as the working president of the BJP’s Jharkhand unit by the party’s national president JP Nadda on Saturday effective immediately.
“National President of Bharatiya Janata Party Jagat Prakash Nadda Ji has appointed Dr. Ravindra Kumar Rai, former MP as the working president of Bharatiya Janata Party, Jharkhand. This appointment will be effective immediately,” Arun Singh, National General Secretary and Headquarters In-charge stated.

The BJP is set to contest the upcoming Jharkhand assembly elections in collaboration with the All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU), Janata Dal (United), and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP). The allocation of seats includes 68 for the BJP, 10 for AJSU, two for JD-U, and one for LJP.
The Jharkhand assembly elections will be held in two phases with the voting taking place on November 13 and November 20. The votes will be counted on November 23.
