Ranchi, April 13: In a show of unanimous support, RK Anand and Madhukant Pathak have been re-elected as President and General Secretary respectively of the Jharkhand Olympic Association (JOA) for the 2025–2029 term. The election took place today during the Association’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Bowls Green Stadium in Namkum, Ranchi.

This marks Anand’s sixth consecutive term as President and Pathak’s third straight tenure as General Secretary, underscoring their enduring leadership and widespread approval within the state’s sporting community.

Inclusive Representation Across the Board

For the first time, all recognised sports associations have been given appropriate representation in the newly formed committee, a move hailed as a step forward in promoting events across various disciplines.

Prominent figures like Bhola Nath Singh, General Secretary of the All India Hockey Federation and State Wrestling Secretary, along with Saket Sinha, Vice-President of the Table Tennis Association, have been appointed as Senior Vice-Presidents, reflecting the JOA’s commitment to a more inclusive and diverse leadership structure.

JK Sinha, one of JOA’s founding members and a patron of the Jharkhand Table Tennis Association, extended his congratulations to the newly elected officials, expressing hope for collaborative efforts to elevate sports in the state.

Well-wishes also poured in from Table Tennis Association Vice-President Kulwant Singh and others including Vijay Mewar, Ajay Mahajan, Saibal Gupta, Sudipto Mukherjee, Ujjwal Chatterjee, Neeraj Kumar, Karamveer Oraon, Kamlesh Dubey, Sandip Saha, Kiran Bihari Shukla, Ramashish Singh, and Prem Udak Beck.
