Ranchi, Dec 30: In a shocking incident, criminals looted Rs 13 lakh from a man who was on his way to deposit the money in a bank. During the robbery, a bystander who tried to intervene and save the victim was shot by the criminals, leaving him seriously injured. The injured man has been identified as Sumit Kumar.

The incident occurred on Monday afternoon near the OTC Ground in the Pandra OP area. The criminals, who were riding a motorcycle, targeted the victim on his way to deposit the cash at an ICICI Bank branch.

When Sumit Kumar attempted to help the victim, the assailants opened fire, hitting him. He sustained serious injuries and was immediately rushed to Medica Hospital for treatment.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the police arrived at the scene and started investigating the matter.
