Sanjay Jha appointed working president of JD(U) at National Executive meeting

New Delhi, June 29: The two-day National Executive meeting of the JD(U) started today in Delhi, chaired by Nitish Kumar. During the meeting, JD(U) Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Jha was elected as the working president of the party.

Apart from this, a demand was made to the central government for special status or a special financial package for Bihar.

JD (U) leader Neeraj Kumar while addressing the reporters after the meeting of the National Executive said, two important proposals were passed unanimously in the executive. First, political and second, organisational. The party’s national president and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar made Sanjay Jha the working president.

Before the meeting, JD (U) leader Neeraj Kumar stated that the results of the 2024 elections have shown that national politics centre around Nitish Kumar.

2025 Bihar polls to be fought under Nitish Kumar’s leadership: KC Tyagi

Earlier, JD(U) senior leader KC Tyagi stated that the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections will be fought under the leadership of Nitish Kumar, and there is no confusion about leadership in Bihar. Senior BJP leaders have already acknowledged this. JD(U) has decided that the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections will be contested under Nitish Kumar’s leadership.

“The 2025 election will be fought under the leadership of Nitish Kumar. Not only the Prime Minister announced it, but both the state party presidents of the BJP and the Leader of the House have publicly announced it. Nitish Kumar is the leader of the NDA and the next elections will be fought under his leadership,” Tyagi stated.
