Sukma, April 1: In the Sukma district of Chhattisgarh, one Naxalite was killed in an encounter with security personnel on Monday.
“One naxalilte has been neutralised in an encounter with security forces in Sukma. His body and weapons have been recovered and the search operation is underway,” Kiran Chavan, the Sukma Superintendent of Police (SP) stated.
Under the jurisdiction of Kistaram Police Station, the encounter occurred in the forest close to Tetemadgu village.
The operation featured soldiers from the 208 and 204 battalions of COBRA (COmmando Battalion for Resolute Action) as well as the District Reserve Guard (DRG).
