Srinagar, September 14: Police reported that three terrorists were killed on Saturday morning following an overnight encounter with security forces in the Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Police stated that a cordon-and-search operation was carried out late Friday night in Chak Tapper Kreeri, situated in the Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
A police official stated that the operation escalated into an encounter when terrorists opened fire on a search team, prompting the forces to retaliate.
He said the cordon was kept in place throughout the night, and by the morning, three terrorists were killed in the exchange of gunfire.
He stated that the identities and group affiliations of the killed terrorists are being verified, while the operation remains ongoing.
