Dubai, April 15: Indian batter Shreyas Iyer has been named the ICC Men’s Player of the Month for March 2025, following his impactful performance in the ICC Champions Trophy held across Dubai and Pakistan.

His consistent middle-order contributions were instrumental in India’s victorious campaign, earning him the honour over New Zealand’s Jacob Duffy and Rachin Ravindra.

The 30-year-old right-hander accumulated 172 runs in three matches during March at an average of 57.33 with a strike rate of 77.47. Throughout the tournament, he anchored crucial partnerships and helped stabilize the innings during pressure phases, becoming a vital link in India’s batting lineup.

Iyer finished the Champions Trophy as the tournament’s second-highest run-scorer with a total of 243 runs—just 20 runs short of Rachin Ravindra’s tally. His standout performances played a key role in propelling India to the title, ultimately sealing his recognition by the ICC as March’s standout performer.

“I’m truly honoured to be named the ICC Men’s Player of the Month for March. This recognition is incredibly special, especially in a month where we lifted the ICC Champions Trophy — a moment I will cherish forever. Being able to contribute to India’s success on such a big stage is something every cricketer dreams of. I’m grateful to my teammates, coaches, and support staff for their unwavering support and belief,” Shreyas Iyer said as quoted by ICC.
