Jamshedpur, August 8: The Sikh community is set to mark the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and his three devoted disciples — Bhai Sati Das, Bhai Mati Das, and Bhai Dayala Ji — with a massive national-scale commemoration rooted in spiritual pride and national unity.
A grand Martyrdom Jagruti Yatra will commence from Shri Harmandir Ji Patna Sahib — the birthplace of Guru Gobind Singh Ji — on August 31. Traversing across Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, the Yatra will culminate at Gurdwara Sheeshganj Sahib in Delhi, the historic site where Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and his companions were martyred on November 24, 1675, under the orders of Mughal ruler Aurangzeb.

The Yatra aims to spread the messages of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji across the country — messages of unity, courage, religious freedom, and the spirit of nationalism within India’s diverse fabric.

To ensure its success, a delegation led by Jagjot Singh, Chairman of Takht Shri Harmandir Ji Patna Sahib Management Committee, met with senior Sikh religious leaders including Acting Jathedar Gyani Kuldeep Singh Garhgaj of Akal Takht Sahib, SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami, Senior Vice President Raghujit Singh Virk, Chief Secretary Kulwant Singh Manan, and Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee leaders Harmeet Singh Kalka and Jagdeep Singh Kahlo.
Meetings were held in Amritsar, Delhi, and Chandigarh to seek blessings and guidance from senior saints and Sikh leaders.
General Secretary of CGPC Jamshedpur, Indrajit Singh, stated that Sardar Jasvir Singh from Mumbai will lead awareness efforts across Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal, urging the Sikh Sangat to participate in large numbers.

The Central Gurdwara Management Committee (CGPC), Jamshedpur, has been entrusted with a significant responsibility. According to officials, Sardar Bhagwan Singh, along with Chairmen Sardar Shailendra Singh and Gurmeet Singh Tote, will coordinate with Singh Sabhas and Sikh organisations across Jharkhand, Bihar, and Bengal to strengthen community unity and ensure widespread participation in the Yatra.
A key meeting of CGPC Jamshedpur will be held soon to finalise action plans and logistics. The event is being seen not only as a tribute to the sacrifices of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and his disciples but also as a call for strengthening social cohesion and spiritual identity among the Sikh community across India.
