Dhanbad, Nov 14: Senior Congress leaders of Sindri Nagar Committee today paid rich tributes to the country’s first Prime Minister Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru on his 134th birth anniversary at a function held at INTUC (Indian National Trade Union Congress) Bhawan.
Senior Congress leader and Sindri Nagar Committee president Ajay Kumar presided over the function and paid tributes to the former prime minister. He said that Pt Nehru made a great contribution in adding secularism to the Constitution and developing it.
“Nehruji’s age of ruling will be ever recalled for the development of the science and technology education field of the country. He developed the value of secularism and brotherhood among people,” said Ajay Kumar.
Retired teachers, Vishwanath Prasad Singh and Narendra Kumar Sharma also shed light on the life of the first prime minister of the country and called upon people to follow Jawaharlal Nehru’s ideals.
District Congress Committee executive members- Videshi Singh, Siyakant Dubey, Somnath Dubey, general secretary Ajay Singh, state secretary Purnendra Singh, Satyendra Singh, Raghunath Singh, Gopal Tiwari, Sardar Yogendra Singh, Madan Prasad, Shailesh Kumar, Satyadeo Singh, Muzaffar Hussain, Anand Kumar, Lalan Thakur, Gautam Modi, Ajit Kumar Mandal also paid tributes to Pt Nehru on his birth anniversary.
