Jamshedpur, Nov 27: Anshuman Singh, a BBA student from Sona Devi University, delivered an impressive performance at the 16th Jharkhand State Archery Championship, organised by the Jharkhand Archery Association and sponsored by Tata Steel.
The tournament took place from November 14 to 17 at the JRD Tata Sports Complex Archery Ground, Jamshedpur.
Wins bronze medal in mixed team category
Anshuman, a third-semester student (Batch 2024–2028) of the School of Commerce and Management, secured the bronze medal in the Compound 50m Mixed Team category, demonstrating excellent skill, precision and consistency.

Coaching support credited for success
His achievement is the result of dedicated training under coach Harendra Singh, along with constant support from Monika Singh, Head of the Department of Management.
Their guidance helped Anshuman refine his technique and build confidence for the state-level event.
University congratulates the young archer
The university management congratulated Anshuman on his accomplishment, stating that his success not only enhances the institution’s reputation but also motivates young athletes across Jharkhand.
His performance is expected to encourage more students to take up archery both within the university and beyond.
