South Eastern Railway announces festival special trains

Jamshedpur, August 23: To accommodate the anticipated surge in passenger traffic during the forthcoming festive season, South Eastern Railway (SER) has announced the operation of several festival special trains across key routes.

These trains will run between late September and early November, ensuring smoother travel for commuters.

Train Schedules

*  08865/08866 NSCB Itwari–Shalimar–NSCB Itwari Special

08865 NSCB Itwari–Shalimar Special will depart NSCB Itwari daily from September 27, 2025 to October 1, 2025 at 5:10 PM, reaching Shalimar at 2:00 PM the next day.

08866 Shalimar–NSCB Itwari Special will leave Shalimar from September 28, 2025 to October 2, 2025 at 6:00 PM and arrive at NSCB Itwari at 3:35 PM the following day.

Halts: Jharsuguda, Rourkela, Chakradharpur, Tatanagar, Kharagpur, and Santragachi.

*  03465/03466 Malda Town–Digha–Malda Town Special

03465 Malda Town–Digha Special will run every Saturday from September 27, 2025 to November 29, 2025, departing Malda Town at 1:10 PM and reaching Digha at 11:00 PM the same day.

03466 Digha–Malda Town Special will depart Digha every Saturday from September 27, 2025 to November 29, 2025 at 11:40 PM, arriving at Malda Town at 9:20 AM the next day.

Halts: Andul, Mecheda, Tamluk, and Kanthi.

*  08109/08110 Shalimar–Patna–Shalimar Special

08109 Shalimar–Patna Special will depart Shalimar every Saturday from October 18, 2025 to November 1, 2025 at 9:55 PM, reaching Patna at 8:00 AM the next day.

08110 Patna–Shalimar Special will leave Patna every Sunday from October 19, 2025 to November 2, 2025 at 10:40 AM, arriving at Shalimar at 1:30 AM the following day.

Halt: Santragachi.

*  08845/08846 Santragachi–Charlapalli–Santragachi Special

08845 Santragachi–Charlapalli Special will run every Friday from September 19, 2025 to October 3, 2025, leaving Santragachi at 2:55 PM and reaching Charlapalli at 4:00 PM the next day.

08846 Charlapalli–Santragachi Special will depart Charlapalli every Saturday from September 20, 2025 to October 4, 2025 at 7:50 PM, reaching Santragachi at 11:55 PM the following day.

Halts: Kharagpur and Baleshwar.

These additional trains are aimed at reducing the holiday travel burden and ensuring passenger convenience across busy routes in the SER zone.
