Jamshedpur, June 27: Tata Steel celebrates a decade of MOSAIC, its flagship Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) initiative launched in 2015 to promote an inclusive, equitable workplace.
Anchored in five pillars—Recruitment, Sensitisation, Retention & Development, Infrastructure, and Celebration—MOSAIC supports women, LGBTQIA+ communities, persons with disabilities, and Affirmative Action groups.

Key milestones include the Women of Mettle scholarship, Women@Mines, Queerious competition, onboarding of transgender HEMM operators, and India’s first all-women mining shift at Noamundi.

With a goal of 20% workforce diversity by 2028, Tata Steel continues to lead with inclusive policies like gender-neutral parental leave, LGBTQIA+ partner benefits, and transition support.
Recognised globally, the company was named a DEI Lighthouse by the World Economic Forum and a Gold Employer by IWEI for four years in a row.
