Jamshedpur, April 18: Promoting Sports as a way of life, Tata Steel’s Sports Department is set to organise Summer Camp 2024 between May 11 and 31 at JRD Tata Steel Sports Complex.
The event aims to create awareness about fitness, wellness, and healthy lifestyles amongst the city’s young generation and encourage them to take up sports activities.
Good touch and bad touch
Apart from providing training in various sporting disciplines like swimming, archery, horse riding, volleyball, hockey, roller skating, and more, the sports department is also planning to organise informative sessions this year on ‘good touch and bad touch’, menstrual hygiene, nutrition and hydration, and more that would provide meaningful insights into these subjects.

21-disciplinary summer camp
The 21-disciplinary summer camp will offer various sports training, ranging from Swimming to Horse Riding to Cricket to Hockey to roller skating.
“We were greatly enthused by last year’s overwhelming participation in Jamshedpur and other locations in Jharkhand and Odisha. We plan to organise similar summer camps this year at Kalinganagar, Joda, and other RM locations, along with Meramandali and Gamharia,” said a Tata Steel official.
Summer camp in Kalinganagar
Summer Camp will be held in Meramandali between May 10 and 25 and in Kalinganagar between May 13 and 26.
The camps at both locations will offer cricket, football, badminton, table tennis, volleyball, swimming and hockey coaching.
