Srinagar, April 11: Police reported that a terrorist was fatally shot during an encounter with security forces in the Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday.
In response to information regarding the presence of terrorists in the south Kashmir district, security personnel established a cordon and conducted a search in Fressipora village in the Rajpora area, they stated.
According to them, the search evolved into an encounter when the terrorists opened fire on the soldiers, who then returned fire.

During the exchange of gunfire, the terrorist was neutralized, as per police statements.
The police stated that they were working to determine the identity and affiliation of the deceased terrorist.
Police reported the recovery of weapons, ammunition, and other incriminating items from the location of the encounter.
