Kupwara, July 27: An attack by the Pakistan Border Action Team (BAT) along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district was thwarted by Indian Army troops, resulting in the death of one Pakistani terrorist.
In the attack, one Indian Army soldier was martyred and four others, including a Major, were injured.
According to Defence sources, the BAT team involved in the attack likely included regular Pakistan Army troops and SSG commandos who cooperate with terrorist organizations.

Defence officials reported that all troops were evacuated from the area.
“Five Indian Army soldiers suffered injuries in the encounter, including a Major rank officer. All five troops were evacuated from the location. One of the injured soldiers has lost his life due to injuries,” Defence officials stated.
