West Bengal Leader of the Opposition Suvendu Adhikari has sharply criticized the Mamata Banerjee-led government over the incident. He blamed the Kolkata Police for the lapse in security and alleged that the force had been diverted to Digha for the Rath Yatra event.
“If the police force is sent to Digha, who is responsible for security in Kolkata?” he questioned, adding that the Chief Minister has no moral right to remain in office after such a shameful incident.
