New Delhi, May 9: Regarding the Sandeshkhali issue, the Trinamool Congress filed a complaint with the Election Commission on Thursday against Suvendu Adhikari, the West Bengal Leader of Opposition, and others.
TMC has claimed that a party leader has confessed on camera that the rape charges in the Sandeshkhali case were fabricated.
The video alleges that Adhikari is behind the conspiracy
According to party sources, their complaint is based on an alleged video in which a man claiming to be Gangadhar Kayal, BJP Mandal president in Sandeshkhali, is heard saying that Leader of Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly, Adhikari, is behind the entire conspiracy.

A news organisation made the video in a ‘sting operation’ which was later shared by the Trinamool Congress on the social media platform X.
BJP alleges video created with help of AI
In this, Kayal can be heard saying that complaints of sexual harassment in Sandeshkhali were lodged at the behest of Adhikari.
Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) West Bengal unit president Sukanta Majumdar alleged that the sting operation was fake and he suspects that the video was created with the help of artificial intelligence (AI).
