Kolkata, March 10: The Trinamool Congress (TMC) revealed its list of 42 candidates on Sunday for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Among them, Mahua Moitra, a former Lok Sabha member who was expelled, has been nominated to contest from the Krishnanagar constituency.
Mamata Banerjee’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee has been nominated by the TMC to contest from Diamond Harbour, and former Indian cricketer Yusuf Pathan has been selected to run from Behrampore. Pathan will face off against Adhir Chowdhury, a prominent figure in the Congress party.

Actor Shatrughan Sinha will contest from Asansol whereas former cricketer Kirti Azad has been fielded from Durgapur.
In the midst of the Sandeshkhali controversy, the ruling Trinamool Congress in West Bengal on Sunday opted not to field MP Nusrat Jahan for the Basirhat Lok Sabha seat, but it did provide MP Mahua Moitra, the expelled MP, a ticket to run in the Krishnanagar seat.
The party has nominated Nurul Islam, the current representative of the Haroa constituency, to replace Nusrat Jahan.
At a demonstration of strength in the core of Kolkata, Abhishek Banerjee declared the TMC candidates.
