Mumbai, June 18: The creators of ‘Sarfira’, featuring Akshay Kumar, Radhika Madan, and Paresh Rawal, have finally released the highly anticipated trailer of the film.
‘Sarfira’ is a Hindi remake of the Tamil film ‘Soorarai Pottru’, which won the National Award in 2021 and starred Suriya in the lead role.
The film, directed by Sudha Kongara, narrates the story inspired by the life of GR Gopinath, the founder of Simplify Deccan.
On Tuesday, Akshay Kumar shared the trailer on his Instagram account with a caption stating, “Sapne woh nahi jo aap sote huye dekhte hain, sapne woh hote hain jo aapko sone hi nahi dete. Ek aise hi sapne ki kahani hai Sarfira. Trailer Out Now.”

The trailer of Sarfira highlights the tale of Vir, portrayed by Akshay Kumar, who envisions launching India’s inaugural low-cost airline as his idea. His goal is to revolutionize air travel, making it affordable for everyone. However, he faces numerous obstacles on his journey. Seeking assistance, he turns to Paresh Rawal’s character, a prominent business magnate who becomes a formidable hurdle in his ambitious venture.
The movie is scheduled for release in theatres on July 12 this year.
Sarfira, written by Sudha and Shalini Ushadevi with dialogues by Pooja Tolani, features music by G.V. Prakash Kumar. The film is produced by Aruna Bhatia of Cape of Good Films, along with South Indian stars Suriya and Jyotika of 2D Entertainment, and Vikram Malhotra.
